Admission:

$5.00 for adults 16 years old and older
*FREE for everyone on Tuesdays!
*FREE for youth aged 15 and younger
*FREE for Federal Interagency Senior, Access and Eagle passholders

*Except for the following events which are half (½) price (i.e. $2.50):

SAWA Pro Lumberjack Meet, Songcatchers Music Series, SmokeyBear's Birthday Party,
Forest Festival Day, and The Legend of Tommy Hodges.

Location

We are located on US Hwy. 276 in the Pisgah National Forest in Transylvania County only 14 miles above Brevard, NC and we are between 30-45 miles away from the towns of Asheville, Hendersonville and Waynesville. We are only four miles off of the Blue Ridge Parkway near milepost # 411. (Look for signs to Brevard)

Directions

From I-40

  1. Take exit 46A off I-40 (I-26 East, Hendersonville exit)
  2. From I-26E take exit #40 (Asheville Airport & Brevard)
  3. Turn right at end of exit ramp onto highway 280 West
  4. Once on Hwy 280 drive approximately 17 miles
  5. At the traffic light in Pisgah Forest (Pizza Hut & Wal-Mart), Hwy 280 will intersect with Hwy 276 & Hwy 64. At this intersection turn right onto Hwy 276 North.
  6. We are 11 miles up on the right. Watch for signs to the Forest Discovery Center/Cradle of Forestry. On the way up you will pass Davidson River Campground, The Pisgah National Forest Visitors Center, The Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, Looking Glass Waterfall, Sliding Rock and then the Cradle followed by the Pink Beds Picnic Area and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

From I-26 West

  1. Take exit 18B onto Hwy 64 West
  2. Drive approximately 18 miles until Hwy 64 intersects with Hwy 280 & Hwy 276 At this intersection, continue straight onto Hwy 276 (by Pizza Hut)
  3. We are 11 miles up on the right. Watch for signs to the Forest Discovery Center/Cradle of Forestry.
  4. On the way up you will pass Davidson River Campground, The Pisgah National Forest Visitors Center, The Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education, Looking Glass Waterfall, Sliding Rock and then the Cradle followed by the Pink Beds Picnic Area and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

From Downtown Brevard

  1. Go out of downtown towards the Brevard College, Ingles, Lowes and Walmart on Hwy 64
  2. Drive approximately 3-4 miles to the intersection of Hwy 276 & Hwy 280 At this intersection turn left onto Hwy 276 North (by Pizza Hut)
  3. We are 11 miles up on the right.
